You know the name of every single character on Sesame Street and can sing the words to Elmo’s World on cue.
You refer to bananas as “nanas”, outside as “side”, and blanket as “blankie”.
You have nearly memorized “Goodnight Moon” and “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”.
You count out each step aloud as you help your daughter go up and down the stairs.
You cut all of those grilled cheese and PBJ sandwiches with different shaped cookie cutters in hopes that your toddler might actually eat them.
You secretly are happy that your child is tired or clingy so you can squeeze in some rare snuggle time and watch a movie together.
You think the children’s museum and the playground are some of the most awesome places to hang out.
You go out on a date with your husband or hang out with your friends but always wonder what your daughter is up to at that moment.
You peek into your child’s room just to watch her sleep and listen to her breathing.
You look into your daughter’s eyes and imagine all of the wonderful things she may be, do, and see in her future.
So thankful for all of the every day moments and joy my sweet baby girl brings to me every day.
Nadia, as one of your favorite books says, “I love you through and through. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow too.”
